Makingcrime Tree Service is a referral service for homeowners with a tree problem. That is the whole job. We do not own trucks, saws or grinders, and we do not send anyone to your yard. Providers do the work, and they are independent local businesses.

Think of us as a front door. You describe the tree, your request gets routed, and a provider in our network takes it from there.

Why this site exists

Say a trunk is leaning toward the garage and you have no idea what a fair price looks like. You search, see huge ranges, and feel stuck. We built this site to explain what drives the cost of tree removal and stump grinding, then connect you with someone who can quote the job. Know the price drivers, and a quote makes a lot more sense.

What a fair quote looks like

Prices vary by job and by region. As a rough U.S. guide, a small tree may run a few hundred dollars, while a large tree near a house or power lines can reach well into the thousands. Stump grinding is often priced per stump, commonly in the low hundreds. These are only typical ranges.

What moves the number:

• Height, trunk width and the tree's condition

We ask providers to be honest about price, show up when they say they will, and put the quote in writing. We also ask them to carry the licenses and insurance their area requires. Please confirm those details yourself before you agree to anything. Providers can often help document damage for an insurance claim, but your policy decides what is covered.

How we are paid

You are not charged by Makingcrime Tree Service for a referral, and you owe nothing to us if you decide not to hire anyone. Your agreement, and your payment, are with the provider you choose.
